Residents Burnt To Ashes In Kumasi


  Three persons have been burnt to ashes at Santasi in the Ashanti Region after the building they were sleeping in was razed by  fire. The cause of the
incident is still unclear but eyewitnesses say the fire started from the kitchen at about 1:30am on Friday morning. The three have been named as 49-year-old, Akos, Lydia a 17- year-old and  Abena a 20- year-old. 24 injured in fire incident. In April, a similar incident occurred in Kumasi Senior High Technical School in the same region where about 24 students sustained minor injuries in a fire incident at the school The fire started in the school’s box room around 3: 30 am on Tuesday morning. The Headmaster of the school, Amponsah Bediako, spoke that the students sustained minor injuries while escaping for safety.
