The Bauchi Police Command has arrested one Maikudi Mohammed, a 25 years old resident of Galambi village of the State for possession of human head.
Haruna Mohammed, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command said in a statement that the head was wrapped inside a cloth when the suspect was arrested with it in Misau town.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect conspired with his accomplice one Damina Mohammed male and 26 years of the same address went to a grave yard in Galambi village and removed the head of a male child corpse in order to sale it to their customer now at large.
“The principal suspect confessed that the child was his son who died and was buried but he later went back to the graveyard at night with his accomplice and exhumed it,” Mohammed, a Superintendent of Police added.
“The Police spokesman said the case under investigation after which suspects would be charged to Court for prosecution.
In the same statement, the Police said a fatal motor Accident at Miya Berkete village in Toro Area of the State claimed four lives while leaving 15 others injured on Sunday.
